To use these images in your web pages, be aware that images naturally tile. That is if the person who is viewing your page has his resolution set to 800 x 600, and your picture is 640 x 480, the he will see it tiled. This is why I make tiles. They are small and no matter what size the window they will be seamless. Remember, that if you link to these images, then it uses my bandwidth, and if enough people do this it will cost me more money. I will be forced to move my images to keep this from happening. What does this mean? http://www.cathyland.net/desktop/image.jpg if you use the full address and it is not yours, but mine then you are linking. While linking to tiles might not be bad, linking to desktops can be very bad. So you should always download the picture and save it to your hard drive. Then you can upload it to your website. If you are using Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator 3.0 and higher there is an option when you right click on the picture to save image as which lets you save the image to your hard drive where you want it. Be sure you remember where you put it so you can find it later.

Desktops are usually 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768. Pick the size of your desktop and click to view the full picture. If you are using Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator 3.0 and higher there is an option when you right click on the picture to set as wallpaper. This puts the image on your desktop. There is also an option to save image as which lets you save the image to your hard drive where you want it.

Logos are those start up and shut down screens you see when you start your computer. If you are tired of them change them. JUST CLICK ON THE THUMBNAIL TO START THE DOWNLOAD OF A ZIPPED EXE FILE. When you have downloaded the file, click to open, and just click on the logo.exe file for automatic installation of the logo files. No need to back up your original files! Logozip does it for you. When you want your Windows startup screen back just run the logo.exe again. There is a help file included. Windows logos must have certain attributes. They must be windows bitmaps sized 320 x 400, and only 127k. These images are in the correct form so when you click on the image you want, it will start a download of a zip file. You will need WINZIP. This is a utility for unzipping files. Once you have winzip and have downloaded the logo zip file just click on it to open it. If you want to save your old logos manually then you will need to open the c directory and scroll until you see the logo.sys file. This is windows start up screen. You can change the name to something like logooff.sys or logo.bmp since that's what it is. Or you can make a new folder called logos and move it there. The wait and shut down screens are the same except the are located in the WINDOWS directory and are called logow.sys and logos.sys respectively. If you don't want to save the files that's ok because logozip will do it for you. Then after you have unzipped the new logo just click on the EXE file to start the installation. To reinstall your original windows startup logos, just reopen the zip file you downloaded, and click the logo.exe file. No it does not reinstall my logos, it will have an option to put your windows logos back just the way they are.
